His brows rose slightly as Niro spoke, surprised by his response. He looked horrible, and the grimace of pain on his face made it quiet obvious that the pale wolf was in dire straights. Heath understood completely that he was sensitive to sound, and likely light, but what he wanted to know was why. There was a cruel curiosity that crept over the coy-wolf, and he could not help but assume what it could be that made him so unhappy and it brought a small glint to his eye.
What brought the headache on? Heath asked in a slightly softer tone, bending at the waist to examine the male from where he stood. You do something you weren’t supposed to? He said with a small bit of humor in his voice. He stood straight and then walked to the small room that most likely have been the race coordinators call room, or the office Marshal before him. It was sparse, but a cabinet remained along the wall and Heath knew exactly what he looked for and that it would be right where he had left it.
He returned with a small glass, blowing off the dust. His other hand held a bottle, the contents clearer then water, thicker and smoother. Heath remembered when he had gathered the bottle, lost in the back of an Old Russian shop; he had tasted it and knew how well the vodka had been prepared. Medicine. He said as he poured the shot and handed it to the male. Nothing eased a headache better then a little push. Heath gave the male the glass, not taking no for an answer and then brought one of the many water buckets the he placed around the stables each morning to sit beside Niro.
Take it down, it’ll help. Heath knew a hangover when he saw it, having felt his fair share of them. But he only felt as bad as he thought Niro looked after he had heavily binged the night before, and this was the only remedy that he knew of for such a hurt.
