Having entered the room at last, all the timber fae could do was stare at the hard work that Jazper appeared to have done. After all, the flower petals wouldn't pick themselves, would they? Her ebony mate had taken them from the meadow out back, Ghita knew that, since she knew the better part of her territory like the back of her hand. And to think that he'd taken every flora up the steps and pulled the petals, arranging them on the neatly made bed just for her... Well, the thought was very touching, but also very confusing.

Her previous mate, Carlo, would never have done anything remotely close to what Jazper had done for her. Their mateship wasn't unpleasant... simply, it had never held the true, sometimes tentative spark that her relationship with Jazz had. Carlo was one to never show affection, even if he felt it, and Ghita had only accepted the request because at her age, most faes in the pack were married off. And if she didn't accept Carlo, another one of the unmated wolves, there only were a few more suitors before she'd have to move to the older of the pack, or, the horror, not be mated at all.

They had both felt more or less obligated to create a family, she for the memory of her mother, sister, and brother, and Carlo for reasons he'd never shared. He could've simply been acting out of lust, that was true, but Ghita didn't really want to spend that much time mulling over her mate. He'd left her for Elli in an instant, and Ghita, although the betrayal stung, she'd never looked back. It wasn't so much the fact that Carlo had left her for another fae, it was the fact that he was all she had left in Italy, save for her father who couldn't care less, and he abandoned her just when she'd needed support most.

Although, in the end, she'd turned out all right, hadn't she? The timber fae had managed to track down her family that lived in a different country, recover from the loss of a mate, litter, and drug addiction, learn an entire new language, learn how to shift, and finally, learn how to survive with a family. The struggles had quickly produced ample rewards that more than made up for her past, and Ghita couldn't imagine a world without two pieces of her heart living and breathing outside of her. She and Jazper had spent lots of time together, quickly becoming friends, and watched the friendship quickly blossom into something more with the one drunken night.

Despite the pair not spending too much quality time, the two lupines relied on each other, almost as if they were in a partnership more so than a mateship. Ghita's co-rank and injury had, in their own ways, hindered her mothering at times, and Jazper had more than willingly filled in whenever she'd needed him to. In her own way, in their dysfunctional relationship, she loved Jazper, and couldn't imagine ever having the desire to sleep with, or even be with, another male in the same way.

"Oh, I don't know, a younger, more attractive girl more up your alley?" Ghita teased, looking away from her mate to slide her fingers across the door handle to lock the door. Following Jazper's unspoken train of thought, Ghita felt that although her pups were growing up at a rapid pace, they had no need to learn any of the more grown up rituals quite yet. With Sophia being such a party girl, Ghita held some fear that she'd stumble into a relationship sooner than she was ready to. But her Aro was more cautious, and she felt that he'd be pursued more than doing the pursuing.

Enjoying the feeling of the much taller male's kiss, Ghita almost regretted his moving away enough to stop him, but held her hand close to her body just in time. From what her mate was saying, there'd be plenty of time for activities like that. "Oh, I wouldn't go as far as to call them adults yet. Teenagers, maybe. Young adults could be pushing it." Moving with half of her usual grace towards the bed, she still seemed to almost float across the room, only this time it was a floating that bobbed up and down as she went.

Lowering her body to sit on the edge of the bed, she let her ivory fingers slip through the pelts on the bed, every so often meeting flower petals on the way. Seizing one gently in her fingers, she let the petal rise to her nose, inhaling the scent with a hint of a smile. "You did all of this for me?" The fae had to ask, almost as if she didn't fully believe it. "It's so beautiful... Pushing her chestnut-hued hair out of her eyes, the same ivory fingers tucked the entire side of her hair behind her shoulder, before looking up at her mate once more.
