He knew this conversation was important to his mate — could see the excitement in her face. Kansas wasn't without a gleeful sense of anticipation himself. He somewhat unexpectedly had come to love children since the birth of his first litter, so the sudden possibility of having the privilege to raise another puppy enthused him. If Denali accepted their welcome, he would pose a new and rewarding challenge for the mated pair, a challenge that Kansas was more than happy to take.
The pale man rested the tip of his snout on his mate's shoulder as she spoke in her elegant accent. As he expected, she was all grace and love. He thought she gave her offer to the agouti boy in a very careful, dignified way. She couldn't have spoken better. Kansas was watching Denali with curious and gentle eyes, nervous about the reaction he would see on the young one's face. What seemed to the Sadira to be hesitance was quickly revealed as simple confusion. Proven wrong, Kansas stole a glance to his love and laughed softly, finding the boy's reaction very humorous. Denali already considered himself part of their family, rendering their angst and worry unfounded. The snowy brute did not quite know what to say, so he merely maintained a smile and awaited Savina.
