OOC: oct 1 is the date <3 +5

This morning had been relatively cold. Cold enough for Cotl's tiny belly hairs to stand up and little goose bumps to form on his shaved stomach. The man had been up earlier than normal this morning, finding himself becoming restless these nights at around 4 'o clock in the morning, and instead of laying around on the couch downstairs and trying to sleep again, he had decided to take out Maschine for a early morning border patrol. He'd make sure to bring his sword with him on his patrol, for defense, and also just in case he needed to cut something. He'd also make sure to check his traps while he was out, because he also had a case of the early morning munchies. If he was lucky he would have trapped some sort of bird in a higher placed trap that he had been placing in the trees. With it so far, he'd been getting chipmunks and the occasional opossum. He'd wanted to get birds though, because he'd been wanting to eat something else besides rodents. It'd been too long since he had some other meat. With him grabbing his sling backpack, he was out of the mansion and into the shed/barn to get the sleeping Maschine.

The stallion nickered softly and woke up at the sound of his master walking into the shed. Blue eyes would sit on Cotl's form as the man would approach the horse and pet his neck to greet the stallion. He looked over the horse really quick to make sure that Maschine did not receive any lacerations between the time he had last seen the stallion and now. Once the check over was done, Cotl walked his horse out of the shed to the cold outside. Cotl softly inhaled the crisp air, and exhaled, the moisture coming from his lungs freezing upon hitting the outside air and causing a cloud of white to form. It'd been pretty cool this morning, the wind blowing hard enough for a nice breeze to be rolling in the Inferni territory. It also looked as if it would be getting ready to rain. It wasn't like Cotl minded the rain anyways. The two would be off towards the borders after Cotl had mounted his steed. He'd ride into the night, a few interjections yelled into the air every few minutes or so just because he was who he was.

In the middle of his ride, all of a sudden a blue jay flew up to Cotl and started to attack ears, though in a suggestive way, not in a way to hurt him, just to merely get his attention. Cotl was startled and tried to shoo it away, but it wouldn't leave and then for whatever reason, the bird started to fly away, and without his consent, Maschine took off after the bird. Cotl had held onto the horse for his life, again, startled because of the randomness of Maschine and this damn bird. Eventually, Cotl regained his composure and tried to pull the horse away since they were passing a whole bunch of Cotl's traps that were already snapped and had some prey. Maschine refused to stop and still followed the bird all the way to the borders, where there was a black wolven sitting there, her acid green eyes looking around for something. He would be that someone as he recognized the smell and the sight of the woman. It was none other than the woman he had gotten Maschine from. Ember Phoenix. She also happened to be one of Cotl's favorite wolves. Cotl put a wicked grin on his face as he let Maschine trot up to the woman. Cotl would dismount the steed as soon as Maschine would get close and bi-colored eyes would be fixed on the woman in her lupus form. Ember! Vas du doing heres? -NYEH- he then really looked at her, noticing that her modifications had been ripped out. He couldn't help but wonder right off the bat what happened. Curiosity was a weakness of his you could say. Antipathy was a curse. Vas happened? the man asked, ear twitching lightly and head cocking to the right as he had walked up a little bit closer to the woman.
