Hazing clouds rain on my head

Wow thats fast!! :-) [411]

The steady drumming of the raindrops as they hit the roof of the building were soothing, almost mesmerizing. They lulled him into a sense of calm and cool. It also provided the peace he had yearned for, as he often enjoyed the ability to just relax and think. So much had happened in the past few days that it had yet to fully sink in. You did the right thing, Voo. Things were never going to change, she would always be the same and they would always agree with her no matter what. You were right. His heart ached as did the pads of his feet. He had barely taken the time to stop for a rest on his travels to the north, on his quest to get away.

The faint steps of the golden male had scarcely been noticed as he approached, an unlucky trait that never seemed to go away. Voodoo was often aloof and dreaming. Paying attention to his surroundings in this state of mind never happened, and he had been caught by surprise one too many times already. Yet, as his words broke into the steady beat of the rain, it brought his attention back to the present, although rather slowly. Calmly did he move his head, searching for the source of the masculine voice, eyes finally focusing upon the male that stood a ways away. Pulling himself to all fours respectfully, his head descended in a friendly gesture of acknowledgment before finally replaying his words in his head. You’re trespassing on claimed lands, stranger. His stomach sank for a split second, realizing now what he had done. It had been an innocent slip up, and it appeared as though this male was not one to jump to conclusions. He was thankful.

Taking a step forward, Voodoo cleared his throat to speak. "My apologies." His voice was more hoarse than normal, which caused him to wince once he heard it. Perhaps it was from the weather. His eyes locked onto the male's form, watching him warily. "I wished only to get out of the weather". Not really much for words, he stopped again. What would he say? It had been an honest mistake, no harm done. He debated on whether or not to add to his previous statements, but decided to refrain in case he would be considered rude for not allowing the other to speak at will. Sometimes it was better to say nothing at all.
