His pace slowed as he discovered that he was not the only one taking a stride along the soft, blonde line of sand caressed by sea. Large ears pulled back in instant distrust of this figure that was only growing in size as it approached him. His first months of life had been isolated within a room and it was not until he had been put under Kaena’s caring wing that he had begun to meet the faces of Inferni. He came off as a shy and quiet child. This dark canine was a stranger, and he was silently grateful when she stopped on a doable distance from him. Ruby seemed to glare, set in a blonde face with only a hint of the Lykoi splash of colour on his muzzle. She had to be one too, for the upper part of her snout was maroon as his great-grandmother’s.

The adult greeted him and sat down. The sand coloured boy remained on his feet, guarded despite her relaxed shape. He understood that she wanted to be kind and interact with him, even if his presence here was none of her business. ”I’m walking,” he informed her, unable to put his reason for being here in better words. His path had not been designated any specific goal other than to watch the rippling waves and the autumn sky above the liquid giant. ”Why are you here?” he challenged back, allowing his blonde tail to twitch slightly as he spoke.
