For a moment, one fleeting moment the devil on his shoulder whispered, the cool dripped venom urging him. Sing in the beauty of it, the decrepit morose beauty of life and it’s end but his mind swirled violently in reaction to the thought. He’d have punched a hole in the wall if such an outburst in front of the young wolf wouldn’t be taken as rude. Then his eyes darted back toward the child as his ears listened to his words.
Another poor soul, protection was just a gateway into aggression. Flip the switch, light the fuse, and watch the carnage transpire. To sulk and wallow into a world that strips everything from a soul until the sights that should bring disgust, distaste, a violent bile to the surface only bring a smile as the mind twists the scene into beauty. Saluce paused a moment as he looked at the blade and back to the wolf, his demeanor still unchanging. The wolf wants to learn, and he doesn’t even know that the blade is meant for a hand.
Finally his body moved but did not pause at the young male’s body but continued onward. Still not sure if he even wanted to deal with this visitor at this time. Once inside he reached for the swords that hanged at either side of him, unsheathing them and laying them on their proper stands, then he bent down and grabbed his dagger from the leather holder on his ankle. Pausing a moment he gripped it in his right hand before letting it roll across his hand with deft practice.
“if you want to learn how to use that dagger, you’re in the wrong form” where the only words his mouth offered so far.
