You can reply again, if you would like. Sorry this has been such a long thread!

Enkiel watched silently. His gaze was remarkably still, almost reptilian in nature. There was no warmth within it—only indifference. He had become a boy well equipped to be a healer. No emotional involvement came from his half of the exchange. In Egypt, they likened this to his holy nature. Horus, while war-like and wise, did not often pay heed to the problems of mortals. The Prince of Strife’s even gaze studied the way the woman moved, the way her face changed. He frowned.

The movement of her eyes, shifting as they did, and the language of her body told him all he needed to know. Enkiel waited for her to finish speaking. “You hardly look fit to be traveling,” he said at length. He believed she was lying, but would not call her out on the matter. It was not his place to do so. “Come sit over here, if you could. If whatever ails you might harm Inferni, I need to know about it.” Again, an unspoken threat. If there was a need for it, Enkiel would remove her—with or without Gabriel’s approval. He had not moved during this, and his eyes had not wavered from her face.
