She wasn’t sure whether she was glad or disappointed that he was family. It seemed as if many of the coyotes in the clan were somehow blood related to Clover, which was somewhat reassuring. And yet at the same time, Clover was somewhat disheartened that his potential to replace Harlowe could not be realized because of his blood. She was glad to be surrounded by family, of course, but she was starting to find it rather irritating that that seemed all she could find her; family, family, family. For a young girl like her, it didn’t leave Clover with many options. In some ways, she felt just as lonely as when she had been a loner. It’s why she put so much effort into her hobby. At least her plants provided some distraction.
When she saw his blood red eyes fall to the book in her lap, Clover’s did too. She wasn’t sure why, for she knew what waited there, but she wanted to make sure it was the book that he was looking at. Of course, it had been. "Um, I guess so." She had never really considered herself a healer, though she had been taught the basics of medicine. Really, Clover had just seen it as useful extraneous information. The fact that she seemed to be so good at botany just simply fit hand in hand with those skills. "I prefer the gardening side of things, though." She had a lot to learn about cultivating all of her plants, but it was information she was eager to learn.
Straw yellow found his face again and her head fell slightly to one side, golden waves cascading over her shoulder. "Are you, love?" Then clarified, "A healer, I mean."
