It took a moment for the golden woman to re-familiarize herself with the night sky. The cloud in her mind not helping as she stared up at the sparkling net of stars. Once she found Orion it was easy to get her bearings and begin to pick out the other constellations. The bottle, it's neck still gripped between her fingers by the neck, was now forgotten as it began to slip, landing with a soft thud on the earth between her footpaw and the log. Her mind traveling back to a time when she had only just begun to learn the vast celestrial map. A time when the world seemed filled with nothing but good and her with a mind to naive to see all the taint that life had been built upon.
It did little to easy the feeling that churned in her gut. It was not a sense of immediate danger, but all was not well. That was what she felt. Though, she could not find any reason for it. Life here had been good to her so far. Very good, in fact. She found herself blessed recently with many things she thought she would never have or know again. Love and a sense of family. The Marshal and Knight filling the gap Anann had felt since the deaths of her brothers. And Anatoliy filled a void she had never known exsisted. Perhaps she was just feeling it was all too good to be true. Too easy.
The sound of steady footfalls turned an amber audit. The wind was not in her favor nor could she be sure that it gave her away. Not that it mattered on pack lands, but Anann just wasn't sure if she was in the mood for company. Though as the sound came closer and closer, auburn eyes finally pulled away from the night sky. She gave a bit of a huff. "Who goes there?" she barked, when the darkness revealed nothing to her.
