Anu had never told her that it was too hard for her and Naniko to stay mates, no her mother's explanation was a bit to general for that. Then the white woman’s fall from grace had made Mati understand how Anu had wished to leave her. But it was hard, as Mati had seen, to keep love in one’s life. The world was not made for that, it had been created for hardship and many were too steeled by their experiences to truly feel the warmth of love. It was a tragedy, one that Mati had known and yet was able to over come for the sake of Cambria.
Fear was always in the back of her mind, like a small shadow that grew in the moments she was insecure. But there were more moments of sunlight, and the warmth of the Marino female that cast away such feelings and so the fear was banished as well. Her purple eyes looked at the pale furred male as he spoke. It was not easy to bring these feelings into words and she knew this. Mati had a hard time expressing how she felt since more often then not she couldn't place a word to them.
