Anann hated her words and the fact they dulled the smile of the man under her. It was crushing to watch the frozen look of confusion flush over his face and the feel of his grip on her tighten. His words were everything she wanted to hear. The timing was just terrible, at least to her. As much as she wanted to believe them and hold them close to her heart, she just couldn't bring herself to. Experience had taught her better than to put much faith in words that were spoken in moments of anger or lust. When it was easy to say things one didn't truly mean. She could only hope the Russo would understand and not take offense to her words. A soft smile of reassurance on her lips as he gave a nod and nothing more. He did not apologies nor take back the words. Neither of which she would have wanted.
As he sighed and moved to hoist her off of him Anann couldn't stop the worry from creeping into her chest. Worrying that perhaps her statement had hit harder than he had allowed it to show. His face buried in the fur of her neck as soon as she came to a rest beside him on the bed. She snuggled against him despite the fact she was already plenty warm. Her arm snaking over his side. Fingers running lightly through his fur til they found the length of his mane and buried themselves there. His muffled words made her smile and she couldn't hold back a soft chuckle. "Of coarse, Toliy," her tone soft and sultry as her hand left his mane to brush her golden fingers against his cheek. Trailing the edge of his jaw til fingers reached his chin and she gave a soft, sweet kiss. Warm, umber eyes looking lovingly into his golden ones. "After all, I did ask you to stay." It had been the start to all this after all or was it more the act of shoving him against the wall of her house that had done it?
