Sage drifted along the borderline, dreamy eyes tracing the outlines of Inferni's decorations against the sunrise, a frosty breeze ruffling her dark curls. A hand reached out to caress the smooth bone, a tinge of sadness on her face. She loved the morbid beauty of the skulls, but detested their meaning for the coyotes that lived in the clan. The Lykoi girl didn't understand how they could take these bones from their bodies, discard the remains, and place them here-- as a warning, no less.
This would not do well for their image. Someone needed to bring a sense of welcome back to the borders. Sage rummaged through her bag, feeling around for a small box. She found it, and opened it. Inside were the broken remains of the last living flowers she could find; they were mostly not whole, but certainly discernible as colorful and happy. With a smile, the girl set about decorating the part of the border she had found, a lovely little corner she could garnish as her own. A slew of dying, but colorful petals lay at the staked feet of the skulls. Maybe more might come around, this way.
The girl stood back from her creation, eying it carefully. Of course her technique wasn't perfect, but you couldn't say that it didn't look better. She gave a wide smile, and fluidly seated herself, back against a tree, and took the small sketchbook out of her bag. Loving her additions to these decorations, she began to pencil in their image in her book, humming quietly and gently to herself. To complete the moment, she pulled out a joint and lit it with a match. It smoldered between her fingers as she took a long, deep breath from its tip. The smoke she blew out gave the scene a mystic, creepy appearance to the scene, and she laughed gently to herself at the irony.
