Skye was getting used to the cold that threatened to nip her fingers, ears, and nose, and had dressed appropriately - a loose but long sleeved shirt accompanied by longer pants helped set the warmth for Skye's endeavor out to the sea. She couldn't believe that for all the time she'd been settled in Cercatori d'Arte, she hadn't been to see the sea yet. She supposed it was only a matter of time when she did, and when she did, she almost gasped out loud.

Beautiful. It was beautiful.

Words failed Skye then as she looked out into the vast blueness that was the ocean, saw the waves crashing against the shore, saw the white foam churning in the deep water. Gulls and pelicans circled overhead, crying out with their bland and loud voices as they sang out to the ocean. The ocean seemed to glitter and shine as it twisted and turned in the tides, and it looked like it was struggling to free itself of the bowl that held it, lapping greedily at the sandy shore and the rocky peaks.

She'd read about the ocean, but she'd never really seen it before, and now she did. So she stood looking at it for a long time, and didn't even notice that she was in the company of another.
