Sorry for the length. But it should help make up for all my short posts in this thread- Hope it isn't to horrible of a read.. >> WC:738

"Oh..Yes huh! Wes just don't tell Daddy." The pups face took up a devious expression, but he was in no way serious. Gideon seemed to always have a way of figuring out every thing. Even if he didn't hear it with his own two ears. "I has to know more about the monsta. So I can get him.." His urging words were followed by a nod of his over sized head. The feature looked a bit odd on him at this age, but later on he hoped he would grow in to it. Range's eyes were about as large as flying saucers by the time his Uncle began pulling his second funky expression. Out of habit the boy tried to copy him- but with the little muscle memory he had in his young face it was proving really difficult. In a few years these things would be much easier to do.. Seeing all the things that he couldn't yet achieve made him eager to grow up. Though he didn't yet realize it, in a few years he will probably miss this. Most pups don't even realize how much they can get away with until the get free passes are actually ripped right out of their young paws. But contrary to popular belief, every one has to grow up some time. "You bet ya'!" He said with a giggle, nipping as his uncle's heel to demonstrate his skill.

The dark sand-coloured Soul stumbled forward a few steps upon feeling himself being nudged. He watched as Saul took off, and after taking a few more clumsy steps, the pup was off himself. The two seemed to have the same idea. Though it's not some thing you would expect from a young wolf such as himself, he was not very competitive. When he was in his earlier months he had noticed how much others enjoyed winning; whether it just be in a race or some thing more important. So the majority of the time, he let them have it. This way of thinking could ultimately hurt him later on in life. A lot of other creatures, even his fellow wolves, would take advantage of such courtesy. His conscience told him that it was worth the risk, but some thing else inside him whispered that it would do more harm then good. In the end, a happy-medium would probably be best. Nevertheless.. The pup made a silent vow to try to take the more generous option at all times. No matter if it hurt him in some way. But in this ONE case he figured it would just be best to give in to what the adult was suggesting by his slow jog.

After not jumping on the opportunity right away he had to try quite hard to catch up anyways. And following his few steps in front of the male the boy felt a change in texture on his paw pads. They were very useful a lot of times, especially now. They helped to let him take in the full effect of the beautiful scenery that surrounded him. His small black nose picked up the salty scent of the body of water that sat before him. This told him it probably was not pure.. So it wouldn't really be suitable for drinking. This sun shined directly down on the sand, causing the small pebbles that caught a glint of it to shine proudly. He nudged his nose at the sand, smelling the few animals that had previously walked here. The creatures had probably kicked up the sand to other areas when their paws were trying to get a good grip on solid ground- but the pup still got a little whiff here and there; which was good enough for him.

When he lifted his head again a bit of sand sand stuck to his nose because of the moisture it carried. He blew out and licked at his nose, shaking his head frantically to rid of the nagging particles. It was then that he found a small pile of snow that the sun had not yet melted, and immediately ran over to it. Without giving it much thought he shoved his entire muzzle into it. After jamming it as far as he could into the snow pile, he turned his head to face his uncle. The burning itching feeling had been removed, but now his face was a bit cold.
