Enough was enough.
Skye had spent at least two months since the surprising but refreshing kiss with Bangle trying to get him to talk to her again. He was avoiding her - why, she had absolutely no clue. It was like the kiss had awakened something in him, something that made it hard for him to see her or even say hi to her. In the past two months, whenever the female had seen Bangle, she had said hi to him or given him a smile or a nod. But she had never gotten anything in return other than a panicked glance and the sound of feet rushing away from her as fast as they could.
She didn't understand it. She got it if Bangle didn't want to go further with the relationship, if he just wanted it to end with the kiss and that's it. But she didn't understand why he had to be a coward about it and run away every time he saw the co-leader! It was ridiculous! She didn't understand why he couldn't just tell her, if that was it. And if it wasn't? All the more reason to tell her what was wrong, because she couldn't understand what was wrong at all.
She found herself at the foot of his door, which was ajar. Bangle was inside his house, rushing about, putting things in his pack...his pack? Why was Bangle packing up? She saw as his face contorted into one of rage and anger, although why, she couldn't tell. She had never seen him like this - it almost scared her. She took a step back, not sure if she wanted to confront him about why he was avoiding her anymore.
But the things he was doing were so strange, so out of place, that she stepped up again. "Bangle?" she said tentatively. "What...are you doing?"
