ooc: 522 words. Yesssss.... let the hate flow through you! >Big Grin

The traveling salesman continued to pack things and shoving them into leather bags or other containers. Normally he would have taken the time to properly pack things so that they all fit, but Bangle's mind was running faster than his own feet were carrying him. Despite the red headed female being at the door, the coywolf strode to the room in the back, though he never really kept anything here. It was merely a spare room, for anyone to be in. But for a moment he had to try and compose himself, though his mind had, well, a mind of its own now.

Just as he came back into the main area, he saw Skye with a certain fire in her face. Though they were a good distance apart, he could still see something burning there, something he had not seen before. But he shook it off, as the words she spit out at him made his large ears press back on his head, shutting his eyes tight and biting his tongue. He knew she was going to bring up that... that... 'incident', his mind said, finishing the thought for him. How could he ever make her understand that he came and went like this all the time? That kiss they briefly shared was merely a--

"Mistake," he mumbled, though Skye didn't even take a breath when she barked at him again. When she finished, bright orange eyes opened to look at her, standing on his front porch in the sunlight. Her hair sparkled, and her eyes vibrant, and her face was something he had never seen before. Then again, it wasn't like Bangle to get angry, either. Oh how this female brought the worst out in him. Emotions and thoughts he couldn't accept. 'And you won't accept them, either,' his mind hissed. Bangle looked at her, hands curling into fists subconsciously, waiting for just the right moment to say the things that his heart would not allow. "Tha' was a mistake," he hissed, in a voice that sounded like his brain speaking for him. For a moment his heart pounded in his chest, so that the coywolf could feel it, and he knew those words were not what he should have said.

But he let those words sink into the fiery female, as he turned on his heel and headed up the wooden stairs to the loft, where his bedroom was. Things still hung from the low ceiling, and he tore them off though he was careful with his own works of art. 'You fool,' his heart was talking now, if only briefly. 'Why can't you just accept that-' "No!" He barked aloud, trying to quiet his inner thoughts down. His lips were pulled back in a snarl, attempting to fight all the things that built up inside of him since he ditched Skye at the oasis. Black tipped tail lashed out behind him furiously, knowing his traveling instincts were right all along. He should have left the moment he got in too deep - but now... now he was sinking, and there was no way back up to the surface.
