The flames danced before her eyes and she almost wanted to jump in there and join them. She wanted to dance, too. She wished she was happy enough to dance. Dancing wasn’t an option right now, though. Not with what was on her mind. If she was doing the dance of death, that would be another story. His words broke her concentration from the fire. They were true and interesting. The fire was like so many others. Some are wild and some are tamed, just like fires. The wild ones were crazy and burned down forests and sometimes other wolves like those who murdered and hurt for fun. Then there was those tamed fires that were kept in one area like this one, but was still raging to get out of it’s one spot. Wolves that had discipline and morals, those were represented by the controlled fire.

She was still kind of lost in thought. Now lost in her own thoughts and thoughts about what Itzal had just said. She looked past the fire and up at the looming lighthouse standing tall. She wondered if she could be able to just go to the top. She wanted to jump off, but didn’t want to die from all the jagged rocks below. If only they had one in the middle of the ocean…

Her eyes rested upon him, searching him in a way. His coat was as dark as night, but had a golden glow from the fire. His eyes were as yellow as a tiger’s hunting eyes. He looked as if he could’ve been someone like Kemo in his earlier days. She was grateful he wasn’t now, or at least he wasn’t showing it. She was staring too long, but was fascinated with his colors. They weren’t anything extraordinary, but they were normal. Normal was something she hadn’t come to notice much lately.
