Hold On Tight

ooc;; erg, honey sucks! i am so sorry for the hold up!

Saul knew to expect the whines and moans from his niece. But he could honestly say that he didnt care. She was safer in Dahlia and she would stay in Dahlia if he had to be her personal escort until her period of grounding was over. And she would return to the house before Gideon awoke because if there was one thing he knew about Gideon, it was that he was a fretful father. It was because he loved them so much, but all his time and energy went into making those two happy and Saul would be damned if he caused his brother one moment of worry about the little female. So when she came out with it, his green eyes turned stern. However, before he could say anything the little black pup snuggled between his paws piped up. He was shocked that the boy had a backbone after the fear he had seen in the young pups ruby eyes. The shake of his head was given to both of them before he addressed them.

"I'm sorry Scorpius, but I'm putting my foot down now. Melee will go home now and I will take you back from where you came. And no Melee, its not fair. But it also wouldn't be fair to give your poor Daddy a heart attack now would it? I'm not going to tell him about this, but I will if you leave Dahlia again before I say its okay."

Were his soft but firm words to the to young pups. While there was no way he could be called threatening, there was a hardness to the young boys words that made it painfully obvious that he meant business. Of course, these words were given before the noice had alerted him to something not right. The two pups beneath his paws picked up on the tension in his body and Saul thought he detected fear in the little boys scent once more. The Lerhling didnt have time to worry about freaking the boy out- he was tense and watchful for thier own good. Melee moved backwards, her rump bumping into the front of his hind legs. She let Scorpius stand forward but he didnt have time to think on that now. A white form had barrelled from the underbrush.

Saul didn't have time to register what was going on. He knew there was a stranger in his territory and she certainly didnt belong there. Lifting his lips in return to her aggression Saul held his ground. He didnt growl however- the female seemed too worked up to be pushed that little bit further. Of course the little black pup wasn't his- Saul had no intention of keeping him. To show his bewilderment at the scene in front of him he gave a foreceful shake of his head. The little black pup comfirmed the relationship by shouting the words at the white female. He rushed forward and Saul wouldnt have dared make a move to stop him. He hugged his mothers legs and once again Saul watched this with bewilderment. He curled his body inward, protecting his niece who still remained underneath him. It was a safe place for her to be, by far.

"I assure you ma'am, none of us lured him here. He followed my niece from the neutral lands."

Came his firm answer and his green eyes snapped up to see equally emerald ones. She was lower in rank than him in his own territory and it was time he grew a backbone and acted like it. Eyes burned as he lowered his head, ears flickering back in a move to protect them from harm. His hackles raised and he allowed his lips to pull back to reveal clenched fangs. She would leave now, or he would attack her. His niece and his pack were in danger as far as he was concerned and that was unnacceptable. Green eyes could see the fear in little Scorpius' eyes but the pup was no longer the Lerhling's problem. His panicked voice however broke into the scene as he desperately tried to explain to his mother what had happened. Saul paused for a moment before he moved forward, hackles building his body image up to look bigger. He would have shifted if not for the concentration it took to do such a thing when he needed it all for this trespasser.

"You will leave these lands, now."

Saul stated simply, inwardly surprising himself at the threat in his voice. Of course, there was very little damage the Lerhling could do, despite Saluce's training in combat of the boy. But he could call Saluce and Conor here in moments and he was certain he could hold off any attack until that time. Still, with Melee still firmly between his legs Saul held still, waiting for the pale woman to either start moving or start talking.
