Alder could no longer stay inside with the pack. Perhaps he had a bit of cabin fever, perhaps a bit of social anxiety. He had been fine in Haven's cabin, with the little family that he was no feeling could be his own too. His nieces and nephew were growing slowly, and Alder had worked hard to keep them safe and warm in preparation for the journey. He didn't think he had ever been so scared, and it was a whole new fear. But now he thought of those that had not been able to come to the hotel with them. Alder had looked to Haven for reassurance and the two brothers had decided that it was time to check upon the horses in the stable, since those in the hotel were settled and warm.
The masked boy trudged through the snow, thick muscle and pelt keep him warm in the bitter winds. Blue eyes look over the white world, it was like the had been transplanted to another planet. It was his first winter, and it would have a permanent fixture in his memories. They said it was abnormal, that this was the first year that such a storm had happened in their pack's history. Long legs propelled him forward, and the boy was filled with determination that he had not known before traveling with his family through the storm to the hotel. The large wolf looked up at the building, it still stood even beneath the weight of the think layer of snow on its roof. He began to move faster, worry for the horses who's company he enjoyed so much over taking him.
Haven come on He encouraged, urging his older brother on. He didn't know why he said it, not normally one to push any other creature. But they needed to get there, needed to help those trapped inside.
