The grizzly female tried to break free, but with every move, she only sank in the snow under the weigh of the trunk. Her paws made left marks on the snow when she struggled. But in the end she decided to quit it. She was ok by the moment, and her struggles would only hurt her even more. She only prayed for her howl to be heard. She wasn't too far away from Thornsbury, but if nobody did, then they would find her body crushed under the fallen tree very soon.
Her hopes rose up when she heard somebody running, not too far away. Sankara hopedthat whoever was coming could spot her, because the falling of the trees had left some branches covering the area. Besides, the snow-covered bushes where tall enough for somebody to see her. She yelped again. This time, there was an answer. And she recognized the voice. "Orin! over here! behind the bushes!". To hear Orin's voice was reconforting. That meant that she hadn't got sick during the snowstorm, but also that she was still able to run...Wait...run? but what about her babies? what if she hurts herself?. Those questions worried her. Sankara wished that Orin could help her to get out of there, but whith a fast look she was sure that her prission was too dangerous to be moved in her state. The steps where coming closer.
"Wait! Orin! bring somebody else, the tree is too heavy for you to move it!" Maybe there was another wolf who heard her howl. Sankara tried to free herself once again, with the same results of before. Great, just great. Now i am a distraction for the others...Stupid me!. As if it was supporting her idea, the tree pressed her against the ground a bit more. What a day.
