sorry for the delay!

Skye's ears flattened slightly as the man called her 'sugar' once more and replied that she didn't need to take it out on him. His tone was, however, taunting rather than comforting, and he pretended to bat his eyelids at her. The dark man tensed, and Skye tightened her muscles in return, ready to run (she couldn't fight him, at least not on his own packlands) when a sleeker, lighter man emerged from a nearby tree - Skye hadn't even scented him, he had been so well hidden, and she wondered if he would be like the black wolf in that he didn't tolerate strangers.

The light gray and white man spoke, and Skye learned that his name was Liev - and he was much kinder than this other, darker man had been, whose name turned out to be Theodore. He did, however, reflect Theodore's words back to her, that her parents weren't there. Skye's tail lowered - it seemed that her parents really weren't here; she had no doubts that Theodore hadn't seen them, but two pack members not seeing any loners? If her parents had been there, at least one of them would have seen. She was about to reply when she heard Theodore's sarcastic reply, and she snorted softly; hopefully he hadn't heard.

She turned back to Liev, and was glad when her horse calmed down enough for her to do so; he seemed to like the pale man. "Thank you," she said earnestly. "And I apologize for trespassing on your lands." She said this to both of the men, however irritated she felt at the other one; these were his packlands, and she had to respect that, even if she was a leader.

"I will leave now, and I wish you and your pack the best," she said, turning back to Jack. The horse looked spooked again, now staring at Theodore; the dark man had lifted his lips to the horse, and the black and white Appaloosa jumped back, whinnying and frightened. Skye put her hand on the horse's neck, attempting to calm him down - it didn't work, for the most part. Jack was done with this land, it seemed, and he turned away from Skye and promptly began to trot away at a high pace.

Forgetting the men, Skye ran towards her horse and tried to stop him, but he continued. She wasn't just going to let him trot; if he began to run, Skye would lose her horse, and in full view of Theodore. Determined not to let her horse get the better of her, she ran ahead so that Jack was behind her; then, before she could chicken out, she grasped his mane as he picked up speed and threw herself into the horse. At this point, he was cantering, near a full gallop. She righted herself just as he began to fully run again, glad that she had leapt onto his back before he could race away without her.
