Though her thoughts had been rapid and scattered up to that point, Princess tried to clear her mind to all thoughts that did not completely focus on the birthing of her puppies that was surely going to come soon now that the process had begun. Princess looked to Mati as she knelt beside her opposite Haven and she allowed the larger woman to take her other hand and to help support her. Though she was stubborn and had a strong will of her own to be independent, Princess was willing to take the help and support that was being offered to her. It was strange, she knew in the back of her mind, as she had not gotten off to a great start with Mati. She was glad that the Church female no longer had a problem with her.
Cambria's voice was soothing to the young mother-to-be, and she gripped both hands tightly as she did as she knew she was supposed to and pushed with all of her might. It was scary, but it came naturally and she realized there was little reason for her to be as terrified as she had been. She gasped audibly as the puppy entered the world and she exhaled slowly, eyes closed still. As Cambria announced that it was a boy, Princess smiled weakly, tired already from the process. She looked to the puppy and then to Haven, and with a small smile, whispered, "He looks like you."
