The boy had never felt so much tension in an enclosed space before. He handed the towel to the birthing coach and he could see that his hands and fingers shook. He did not know exactly what he was scared of, most of this being much of mystery to the young male, but he knew that things could go wrong. Though, he didn't really know when things were going right either and when the mother winced in pain he flinched too and when she gasped Alder did too. He did not look down at the woman, but looked at the towels instead and only brought his eyes up when Cambria spoke.
Alder looked at the puppy, and he smiled. He forgot the fear, and felt an odd sense of relaxation fill him as he looked at the newborn. Alder blinked, and a new odd feeling in his chest brought tears to the corners of his blue orbs.
