She watched his reactions closely, her own eyes studying him with a fevered curiosity, almost like a predator examining its prey. Maybe that was exactly it, had she not even caught the familiar symptoms? The dark voice in her head seductively cooing words of encouragement into her mind. He was a pack mate and a handsome guy but something about bringing down a big male like him found an amused thought ring in her ears. What would she have done to this man if there wasn’t that stupid rule keeping her from letting her true self lose, to have a bit of fun. Cutting and creating the perfect monster. The thought alone sent a cold chill through her but as always her feelings for him where mixed. She had them, she didn’t admit them but she did, and let’s be honest, she could have easily taken care of him on their first little outing, but the urge wasn’t as strong then as it was now, her addiction, her habit wasn’t drugs, it was the business of killing.

So she forced herself to calm down, listening to the words he spoke, the reason she wouldn’t tell him was because she never wanted her brother to be exposed as her brother, no link. Her mother was enough of one to cause her to watch her steps carefully, and she wondered if her Aunt really fully understood the demon hiding in her cave. But still, upon examination of Theo, capable fighter, good genes, and an interesting development so far for the other whisper in her head, that instinct that was fully kicking in to become a parent. Would she raise her own brood of mass murderers bent on a perverted sense of right or wrong or would she kick the addiction and move on. Time would tell.

Slowly she crossed her arms, her eyes looking up at him with a flat uninterested look. He had spilled some form of his heart out to her but her question still remained unanswered. A soft sigh escaped her lips for a moment, observing him yet again wondering why out of all the encounters she had had previously, this was the one that became jealous, and connected to her. Maybe he just didn’t know her well enough to walk away and move on with his life. The façade about her was built with the best mortar and brick, she had erected it to keep her safe, to keep others from knowing, Ouija truly understood her, and their relationship seemed to always have been one sided. Now though, here was another in her doorway distraught because of her, and she didn’t know what to do.

“I don’t want to tell you because, I don’t want them hurt” she spoke on autopilot while the inner workings of her mind kept debating on her course of action. The frightening outcome would be if she let him in closer to her, only to find the monster lurking there, she didn’t want him to run away from her. This was the first time she had felt something for anyone in awhile and it was too much to handle.

“You should stay away from me Teddy” she spoke is a quiet tone, eyes looking at the floor. It was one of the first times she had addressed him in such a fashion. She turned away from him then to retreat to her den, to await his stubborn form leaving.
