His legs shifted on the sand. If she had been anyone else he would have planted them and waited for an attack. Talitha was his daughter, and he had no desire to come at her again. Once had been enough. Doggishly he mirrored her steps, unwilling to leave himself a still target for whatever madness she might bring down on him. “What are you talking about?” He asked, still ignorant to her awareness about children he himself knew nothing of.
