Ever moved his hand back to the stallion, and the wolfdog gave her fingers a squeeze. His timidity was somewhat comical considering his size and strength, but Ezra hoped Ever wouldn’t make too much fun of him for it. She was being so sweet, both to the horse and to him, which Ezra found quite enjoyable. She acted so dedicated and motherly to both of them which made the boy realize she would be a great mother some day. A brush was handed to him and so the boy dutifully started brushing the golden stallion in a circular pattern, going from top to bottom. Ezra chose to not do anything about the horses legs (those hooves scared him the most) and just continued brushing its side.
After feeling a little more comfortable around the beast, Ezra worked his fingers through its mane while watching it intently. He seemed so at ease with Ever working on his tail, which intrigued Ezra. Giving another pat to the horse’s head, Ezra soon switched sides to start brushing the rest of the horse.
