To hear that the new female was a cook subtly intrigued Talitha, but she knew that she would stick to Ezekiel's rough food. He was the only one who could make her eat, anyways.

They know not to come here — everyone does. We kill trespassers." It was true. They had killed for less than trespassing, such as the rape of one of their own.
