ooc: Not at all. Range seems fun! Word of the day +1 Word count +200

Viggo's explorations continued. He was still learning the lay of the land, as well as the flora and fauna of the area. In some respects it was incredibly different from his native area near former Louisiana, but in other ways it was similar. He missed the taste of nutria in the morning, but found the rabbits and squirrels to be rather meatier. Not to mention he was yearning for a pack hunt; the scents of some of the larger animals were driving him nuts. Thirst slaked his throat, and he paused long enough to sniff the air.

Just ahead he could smell the water, and along with that came some yips and jamboree. He cocked his head, curious. Circling around to come out of the woods far enough upstream to be safe but close enough to see what was going on, he moved cautiously forward. Reaching the stream bank, he peered through the last of the forested underbrush. A small wolf was splashing joyously in the pool down from his location. Breaking his cover, he moved to the water and began to slowly lap some. His tail wagged in communal happiness that the youngster seemed to be having. It was almost contagious. A grin graced his countenance.

Finished with his drink, he took a few steps closer and stopped. Sitting, he was unsure of just what to say, not wanting to stop the wolf's merriment.
