Eyes rimmed with suspicion glared out at Liev, as he watched the other take his Katana; he did not take well to another handling his weapon and his instincts screamed for him to snatch it back, despite how dangerous and stupid such actions would be. However, he managed to keep level headed and allowed the other to take his sword; as an extra precaution, he crossed his arms across his chest to make sure he didn’t make a move to reclaim the weapon.

Silently he watched as the Anzu handled his weapon; taking in how he held one hand above another, keeping a space between the two instead of placing his hands next to each other. After seeing the grip and the following movements, he could see the advantages to holding it in such away; it allowed the user to apply more power behind each strike.

With ears perked up, his listened, his mind absorbing each word and move his instructor introduced him to, noting the subtle differences between each one; a straight down strike, one coming down from above at an angle, which could injure another’s legs. Piece by piece, he matched up the moves with the knowledge he already had and he could see where he had been going wrong; which was pretty much everywhere and everything he’d done.

“Considering the angles and such, would it not be best to immobilize an opponent, say go for their legs, and then go for the kill? My strength is in speed over power and I doubt I could slay with one hit…” he asked, for after looking at the moves Liev had shown him, he could not see himself taking down an opponent in one strike; power was not his forte, speed was, and so he figured that if he gave himself an advantage over an opponent, an weaker attack would be capable of killing.
