A pleasant nightmare

In Character

A low groan passed his lips, the foggy cloud of sleep lifting ever so slightly from him as something was tugging him from the grasps of sleep. But he did not want to leave; his dream, although taking no direct form was pleasant for once, it was not haunted by the deaths of those who surrounded him, just a pure, white peaceful feel that had settled upon his still form. He felt at ease.

And yet, the nagging feeling; almost a need to wake up and do something probed at him, repeatedly and increasing in occurrence, some sort of alarm seemed to go of screaming for him to wake up. Slowly, he rolled onto his back and looked up to the uneven ceiling, simply staring with sleep glazed eyes at the maze of cracks and bumps.

After a few moments for his mind to adjust to being awake, only slightly, but enough for him to somewhat function. As tired eyes fell downward, he noted the blanket which was draped over him and caressing his upper body. Wriggling up, so that he sat cross legged, he frowned down at the blanket which had fallen to lay across his lap. How’d it get there….

Before he could further question the presence of the blanket, a sound of movement had his head whipping around and blue eyes, now vaguely more alert, sought out the sound of the movement. Beyaz that little… How many times ‘ave I gotta tell the pest no ta sleep on me …. Dumbfounded, he stared at the sleeping form of Teo. Blinking a few times, as his memory begun to fill the gaps, “Bed….” he said out loud, finishing of his internal complaint about Beyaz.

Still weighed down by sleep, it took him another moment to piece together the scene, and as he did so a hand rose up and his face fell to his palm. Oh yeah, Teo’s staying here at the moment… Lifting his head; his ponytail swaying slightly against his back with the moment, he rose his eyes up to look upon the other; whom was clearly having some form of nightmare.

Instantly, his face took on a worried and somewhat confused expression. Never before had he been in a situation where someone was having a nightmare before him, and so he was unsure on what to do. Panic stuck him and he continued to helplessly stare at the albino.

Something poked at his mind, telling him he was still missing a minor detail. Blue eyes fell once more to the blanket that covered him and he now realized that the white one had been the one to cover him. A frown formed and he silently bared his teeth; do I look so weak that I need a blanket to sleep? Could he not have made it clearer the blanket was left out for the white one?

Anger rising now, he scowled at the fidgeting male as he slept, forming up an argument and complaint in which he planned to inform Teo of when he awoke. Then it occurred to him that the other had curled up by the end of the bed, when his bed was more than big enough to accommodate the two of them.

It was at that moment that all rational thoughts, along with calm thinking slipped his grasp. Crawling to the edge of the bed, he stretched out a jean covered leg and prodded the white one in the side, shortly after he pulled his foot back; moving so that he sat cross legged once more.

In the corner of his eye, he noticed Beyaz intently watching from his corner and he coulda sworn the dammed bird looked amused by the whole situation. But at that moment, he sat and awaited for the other to awake; sis expression completely devoid of emotions to hide the extent of his irrational rage

He had no idea why, but he was annoyed that the white one had chosen to sleep by the end of the bed AND rejected the blanket… and it annoyed him that he was concerned over the other’s nightmares; concern for another was never a good sign for the Dasa, for it meant he was getting attached and when he did, the person he grew attached to disappeared, died or had disaster happen to them.
