emotionally shut off Anann is hard to write for :c

She had told the arrogant fool to watch his manners. The fact he was trespassing was violation enough, but no he had continued to push his luck. And if the insults to Anatoliy's mixed heritage weren't enough he attempted wooing her as if nothing had changed, right in from of the true holder of her heart. It was a testament to the Russian's self control that he kept his hands from the pompous male as long as he had. So it was fully deserved when the larger of the two males grabbed the other by the throat. She had warned him and he had continued to run his mouth so she felt no need to interfere unless things got out of hand. It was not a squabble over her, which she would not have allowed, but a matter of blatant disrespect at this point.

Still it had made the woman nervous and she watched both men carefully for any sign that things were escalating out of control. Watching for subtle changes in posture that told of emanate attack. She assumed Keese would have his knife as he often did. A glance at his right arm and how it was poised at the ready confirmed such thoughts. Umber eyes darted between than hand ready and waiting and the hand belonging to the other that already held a blade. A deep sigh of relief came when Anatoliy shoved Keese to the ground, ignoring his taunts for blood and sheathing his knife.

Her relief was short lived as Keese suddenly lunged. Her head tilted back as she sent out a short and urgent call for the king before moving to try and separate the two enraged males. She had let this go on long enough, but she was not sure she would beable to sufficiently separate the two males on her own for long enough or great enough of a distance for the situation to be diffused. Just as importantly she needed his permission to allow Keese to stay where she would beable to keep an eye on him.
