Saluce watched, and his face lit up with a huge smile as the target was hit. That furred appendage of his was sent wagging in a frenzy and his own joy almost peaked hers. The emotions ran through him and he found himself moving forward to her, he wanted to show her just how happy his was but he stopped just short of her. Thinking a hug may have been too much contact at this point, so his hand rose up and messed her hair playfully with a smirk.

Finally he moved away and spoke his excitement “Nice shot! Amata, you’ll be picking off apples in trees at 500 yards in no time!” He gave her a gentle chuckle before handing her several arrows and walking the short distance to retrieve the target. Removing the arrow he walked further this time and set it at twice the distance. This is where shooting a bow started to get tricky, now she would have to take into account what the humans called gravity.

He walked briskly back to her with a smirk “Now that you’ve got the hang of using the bow, you have to start taking into account how much the arrow will drop with distance. The draw weight of this bow is strong and you’ve done a good job so far of being able to pull it back, but as with any bow it can only shoot straight for so long before gravity takes hold.” Saluce intended to let her fire several more arrows before he’d start their tour of Dahlia. She enjoyed it way too much for him to stop her fun so soon.
