Anann took a few steps after the horse that galloped away from her with a stunned and confused look on her face. A soft growl of frustration rumbled in her chest before she gave a loud, shrill whistle. ”Rem!” She hollered after him, only to watch the horse kick up his heels in a bit of a crow hop as he arched his neck and tossed his mane and tail about. He was laughing at her. She had known he had been up to something, scheming beast. Golden cream lips curled in annoyance and she gave huff as she stomped her foot. Golden hands clenched in fists. How could he just drag her out here and abandon her like this? A strong gust of wind blew into her back, sending her mane wildly into her face, her left hand coming up to comb the wind whipped hair from her eyes.

It was then, fingers still entwined in the tangled locks of mane, that she heard his deep voice call her name over the roar of the oncoming storm. Of coarse he had heard the commotion they had been making. Seeing him rushing towards her she took a couple steps backwards her hand falling from her hair now that she faced into the wind. Ears pressed forward only to fall back a moment later as her confidence faltered for a moment. Nervously, she took a quick look around. Checking for any unwanted watchers, ears pressing forward once again. She should have known to trust Rem, if the horse had left her here than Keese was no where nearby.

Part of her wanted to run towards the man. To throw herself in his arms and take in his scent as she buried her face in his fur. To pretend as if none of this had happened, but the situation had not changed and so her feet remained rooted. Weighted by a heavy, sinking feeling in her gut. It would be a lie to say that she had not missed him in the moons that had passed since the day she had pushed him away, out of her life. Still she felt the flutter of nerves in her stomach and her heart hammered in her chest. Filling her with feelings not unlike those she had felt in the beginning when things between them had been in a similar stage of unknown.

There was a blinding flash and a thundering boom quickly followed, echoing in her ears. Shell shocked from it all, the woman flinched. Attention turning back to the angry skies filled with dark clouds. Torrents of rain could be seen falling heavily to the earth in the not-so-far distance.
