The woman did not run from him, even when he began to head toward her. He had both feared she would and hoped she would. It was hard to see her, even though his heart was fluttering from the happiness she brought him. But then his head remembered the pain of her walking out of his home, only to remember the way his hands had longed to hold her again; how his heart ached before he lay to sleep, alone. Anatoliy could not deny that he was in pain more often than not; it was shocking what a single woman could do to a person. That was one of the reasons he had gone to find a boat. Fishing was always something that would take his mind off of things, even off of the woman who had left him with no reason given. What else was he to do besides get himself a fishing boat? Ponds were fun briefly, but the sea was the mistress that called his sore soul.

As he approached her, Anann did not move, though he could tell something was fighting. Genuinely, he was surprised that she was still standing there. He opened his mouth, ready to speak out again, so close to her, when his words were eaten by the booming sound. Instantly, he looked toward the horizon and found, in horror, that the storm rolled in ever faster than he had even imagined. His face betrayed his concern as he watched the waves crash harder and the water pouring from the clouds almost at the shoreline. It would be on them soon. A quick gaze back at his covered boat, and the Russo returned it to the woman before him.

"Anann..," he said softly, between booms of thunder. Anatoliy fought back the desire to reach a hand out to her and pull her close. It was not fair of her, of Rem, to show up like this. But he was happy she was here. Even at a time like this. "Ve cannot stay here," he said simply, all of the things he wanted to say feeling inappropriate at the moment.
