Jaden followed Nayru as she walked to find a place for them to sit and enjoy their meal. Doing his best to ignore the erg to hesitate further at the Alpha’s kindness, the Ichikan sat next to her and took his share of the bird. Her brutality in shearing the unfortunate creature in half went unnoticed by Jaden as he matched it by tearing the wing off his half of the bird with his bare hands. Not having the chance to enjoy bird meat very often, he wanted to be sure nothing would impede his reach of its tender breast meat.
Though the male had kept to himself lately he knew very well that Nayru had responsibilities to the rest of the pack. Afraid he might have sounded disappointed in her or negative in anyway, he quickly accept her apology, “I’m sure you had plenty to do and if the chance for us to meet before now had come up, we would have met. It’s no problem.” Jaden smiled oddly and took a quick bit of his bird before speaking again. This time he took some of the nervousness from his tone and sighed to calm himself. She was just an Alpha. She wouldn’t bite… “I haven’t really settled in yet,” he admitted. “Still looking for a good place to set up a den, there are so many on our land…” Jaden hesitated for a moment as he composed his thoughts. He wanted to ask what he was to do after his home was constructed. He wanted to know what he could do to help Ichika and be told it was his job. Something steady to take care of or something to do would help him feel like he belonged in the pack.
The man had a good idea of his own skills, but he also knew Nayru most likely didn’t. As such, she wouldn’t really have any good suggestions he figured. So instead, the brute asked a less important question to keep the conversation moving. “What about you? Where have you housed yourself?”
