your post seemed fine to me <3 so sorry for the wait :x the heat has been a motivation killer.
Cypress had little clue to what he was doing. The letters on the page of the book had only been able to tell him so much. When he had read them it had all seemed so simple and straight forwards. But now...well frustration knitted his brow together as he tried working with the raw earth. Unsure if he even had the proper type of clay that he would need.
His book had said that it could often be used straight from the ground. If it was the right kind, but the yellowish clay he had dug from the earth had seemed too dry and hard. So he had hoped if mixed some water and some finer soil from the lake shore would make it into something workable. It sounded much easier than he had first thought it'd be.
The soft murmur of a voice could be heard in the distance, but preoccupied with his the boy hadn't really noticed the others nearing the lake side. His attention was pulled from his work as he heard the sounds of something bounding towards through the grass like a startled rabbit. He looked up just as the mohawked woman scooped up the squirming young pup into her arms. He had never let her before, nor had the boy met very many with dog heritage either. His ears fell back in slight nervousness at suddenly being confronted by the stranger though his tail gave a couple friendly pats against the ground behind him. "Well, I'm trying to..." Though it wasn't going well and his voice carried his uncertainty. "I'm Cypress, by the way. Um, who are you?" He asked, head tilting slight to the side in earnest curiosity.
