A dream within a dream

Reed and Francois had set up camp near Drifter Bay where Markus and his daughter currently were. He decided it would be safest to stash their supplies and instruments in the forest where they wouldn't likely just be happened upon and stolen while they were away exploring and looking for Markus. With the wind blowing in from the ocean, it wasn't that hard to catch his scent on it as it went by. He didn't get excited until he actually saw Markus sitting on a rock; it was easy to recognize it was him by his long brindle fur that the wind blew around.

What Fran saw first, however, was not his brother, but the young furry pup romping around in the sand around him. Surely that was someone else's kid. But that tail gave it all away, not to mention she had some of Markus' own brindle coloring along with some of her mothers. Aisling. That slut. He never did like her and knew she was no good for his brother, and now he had a niece as proof that she sucks.

"There you are, Markus! Good job getting separated," Reed jested when he came up behind the lean Afghan Hound mix. He gave the boy a pat on the back before looking toward the pup. "You babysitting?" he asked, convinced that his hardass drummer couldn't have kids yet. For some reason... Fran walked over to Eva before kneeling down in the sand a few feet from her. "Hey, kiddo. What's your name?" She was absolutely precious and he gave her a gentle smile. As if they wouldn't have a hard enough time making this new place home by themselves, now they had a kid keep safe, fed and healthy too. But at least they found Markus and his precious cargo before anything happened.
