The wind whipped through both dark manes of the animals as they flew through the pack lands. Ezra’s face was lit up with a grin and he couldn’t be happier with Petra. She was a surprisingly intelligent and …nimble too, as she demonstrated flying over a fallen log with ease. The summer day was whipping around the duo a million miles an hour. Ezra’s mind was finally clear and nothing bad was clogging his mind. Nothing but Petra, the thunderous noise beneath him, and the meadows before him. He could do this all day.

A figure arose in the distance, and the male let his right hand let go of Petra’s man. He waved back despite feeling quite uneasy about it, he felt more secure having two hands on his horse. Ezra double backed in order to stop and talk to the man. Though he knew virtually nothing of the Chevalier, they had met not too long ago and he seemed sufficiently pleasant. Petra was proving difficult to maneuver, though. The duo continued to race around the area because it was very clear to Ezra no matter where he directed her she had no intention of slowing down. Ezra panicked for a moment, but quickly maneuvered Petra in Noss’ direction and started tugging on her mane. The buckskin slowed down momentarily to raise her two front legs into the air in defiance, trying her best to knock Ezra off.

It worked; Ezra toppled to the ground in mere seconds. Petra took off again, but this time in the direction of the stables. The Lord groaned, mostly unhurt, but more embarrassed than anything else. Noss was a few meters away and definitely saw the whole thing go down. “Heeeeeey,” Ezra said, defeated. He was looking up at the trees, not wanting to get up yet.
