Unlike the meeting and banishment of Mysterious, Vigilante knew how this was supposed to end, how this was going to end. Keese had to die for the things he had done to the kingdom and especially to Anann. It was all unforgivable and he deserved death, and it seemed he knew it, too, for he did not seem surprised to see the King and had arrived with a weapon. It was certainly not the same thought Keese was having, but it made sense to him.
The males collided, Vigilante turning his head to catch the wrist of the hand holding the knife, though he felt it drag along his shoulder for a moment, slicing the skin. It was not deep enough to be worrisome now, though. With a snarl before his teeth would hopefully grab the target—Keese's wrist—he turned his body roughly, hoping to knock Keese to the ground.
