Opting to ignore the stupid raccoon, Tawny snuggled closer to the male and held onto him tightly, not wanting to let go (as mentioned in the other post). She hid her face against his fur and closed her eyes, relaxing once again even though the growl didn’t cease to rumble in her chest. His soft, half asleep reprimand reminded her of the noise coming from her body and she quickly stopped, becoming totally silent once more. The ‘coon wasn’t so obedient or respectful however, and a few moments later her angel yelped and shot up from their snuggling position, glaring at the rodent.
His sudden movements and loud noises were frightening and Tawny jumped away from him, sliding off the bed and landing on the ground a few inches below the skin padding. Her arms were wrapped around her head; body curled up tightly as she shook and whimpered, peeking through at the white man. She was pretty sure that he wouldn’t do anything to purposefully hurt her like her parents and those other men had done, but it was an immediate reaction now. Her chest was moving up and down rapidly as her breathing sped up with the initial panic.
When she was fully sure that there would be no getting in trouble, she crawled back up onto the bed and curled up near his legs, resting her muzzle on his hip. I’m sorry…sh-should have s-stop-ped it. D-don’t be mmm-mad at me… Her voice was small and nervous, shaking as she pleaded with him to not be cross with her for not keeping the raccoon away. For some reason she felt that he was an authoritative figure above her, and he was, being that he was a part of this pack and she wasn’t, he automatically had reign over her.
