She had no wish to venture out of her den. But when the Angela informed her of a meeting she suspected that it would be something either interesting or important. It was Halloween, or at least near enough for the Anatheman queen to commission some sort of celebration. Io had heard whispers of Alaki's promotion and again she suspected that it was something she wished to announce fomally. And while she had no want to leave her home, she did.
In truth, it had been Leon that had caused this recent slump. His viciousness hadn't rattled her so much, Shurui hadn't been gentle either. But it was merely the fact that she, Io Berlin, had been over powered by him. Her teeth bared themselves as she thought of the event, moving slowly down the rocky corridors. Her secui form usually gave her much speed, but her children weighted her down substancially and what more she was tired.
She'd still had time to dress herself up. Nothing extermely extravegant, she was too serious for that. Io had brought with her to Canada, a large necklace. It was heavy, almost solid silver and set with clear diamonds. It had once been her mother's, and possibly would have still been had she not grown attatched to it had snatched it for herself. It was the one thing her mother had 'given' her before she left, her father in turn had given her a golden pocket watch.
She entered the room where the Angela sat, along with her two sons. Io smiled breifly, thinking about her own children, ones which would be present in around a month. She approached slowly, bowed her head in respect. 'Angela...' she said, lifting her head up. She turned her sights to the boys one by one and gave them a polite nod, 'Boys'. Io stepped back, taking her place at the edge of the room.
