Puppies were on Kiara's mind as she wandered the boarders. Kiara had recently been promoted in rank to Ikusei, so now she was in charge of helping the parents of Ichika no Ho-en raise their pups. Kiara had some experience around puppies, but she still had a lot to learn. With Jace's pups being only two days old, it might be a while before she was able to fully perform her role as the pack babysitter. The arctic wolf gave a sad sigh. Truth be told, she still had doubts about whether she could perform her assigned role. Kiara was young and had never been a mother, so how was she supposed to help expecting mothers or worried fathers?
While Kiara was buried deep in her thoughts, a familiar cry reached the snow wolf's ears. Kiara snapped out of her trance and her ears flew up, she knew that voice. It was Shiloh, and she needed help. Kiara bounded off towards Shiloh's direction as fast as her four legs could carry her. The arctic wolf's mind raced as she went through all of the possibilities. Shiloh could be hurt, or perhaps Kavi had gotten into another fight. Either way, Kiara dreaded the thought of Shiloh and Kavi being hurt. Kiara pushed her lupine body harder as she raced towards her friends.
As Kiara quickly approached her destination, two others could be seen standing around Shiloh. One wolf was a pack member, but the other was a stranger. A dead body could be seen laying just beyond the small group, causing the air to be filled with the smell of decay. Kiara had not heard Aleo's introduction and was unsure of how to approach the stranger. The snow wolf firmly planted herself between Shiloh and the unknown male, "Shiloh, Kavi, are you hurt? I heard your cry and..." A soft whimper, coming from Shiloh's pocket, alerted Kiara to the puppies presence. The stranger and corpse were all but forgotten. "A puppy, so cute. Wait, how did you have one so fast? Not to mention, it doesn't look so good." Kiara was now worried and confused. What was going on?
