A scouting duty had brought Orin from the safe boundaries of Cercatori d'Arte. She needed to do some reconnaissance, see how the other packs were fairing in this time of war and tragedy. She had vowed to her Capitana that she would not return to Ani Waya again without her prior consent, but there was still a range of other places she could go. Picking up information from loners was always a good idea. Usually she ran into one or two whilst taking short trips from pack to pack. As it so happened, Orin had been on her way to stop by one of the peaceful packs when she heard a strange sound.
White ears perked and she stopped dead in her tracks. She peered around for the origin of the sound. She couldn't shake the dire feeling that something was wrong here – nor did she want to, she knew to listen to her gut. Her instincts were her most primal mode of survival that had saved her more than once, she wouldn't abandon them now.
Still, she needed to know what the sound was... what the voices were... and so she crouched down, gathering her pink winter cloak around her arm so it wouldn't billow and make noise, and she slowly crept toward the anomaly. Soon enough she saw the girl huddled down over some bounty, muttering words Orin didn't quite understand. But... whatever it was... it sounded like she was in trouble. And there was this awful, persistent whimpering. It brought back dark, hidden memories of when she was alone and in trouble, too. She couldn't just walk away from her now.
“H-hello?” she said softly as she revealed herself, holding her hands out at her sides to show that she carried no weapons, meant no harm. “Sorry to intrude but I overheard you here and... are you okay? Are you in some sort of trouble?”
