OOCOOCOOC!

Thornbury was a place Erzulie frequented. Not only was it the central hub for the pack, but it was also the place in which her mother and father had their residences; both Skye's house and Bangle's tree – and so, by default, Erzulie lived there too. She still resided with her mother and father, though she ventured past the town's borders quite often. There was a place in the woods she particularly loved to go, where the paths met and crossed. This was where she went on nearly a daily basis to speek to Legba.

But her friend had not been there today, no matter how long Erzulie waited. That was the funny thing about him... sometimes when she wanted him to be there the most he wouldn't show. No matter how close they grew he was always in command, even though Erzulie knew his presence was to help her, not hurt her. Of course, if she ever got too cocky about it, he would quickly put her in check. Like the time he helped her resurrect that chicken a month ago. Her father told her that it was normal for chickens to do that, but Zulie knew better.

Disappointed with her afternoon, the young girl made her way back to the town. She had found her new forms just a few weeks ago and found it delightful to spend time in her Optime body, so she paced through the forest on two feet, wearing various jewelry and scarves that she had pilfered from her merchant father's collection. Eventually she found herself back in the town, peering around aimlessly with nothing to do.

That was when she heard the clacking sound. Her ear twitched and bent toward the noise, and soon the chubby girl was on her way to inspect. A moment later the sound was followed by a howl, and she quickly rounded a corner to see the grey wolf woman standing there with her staff looking properly put out.

“Hey, what ya doin' there?” she asked in her raw vernacular, much like the way her father spoke. The woman was unfamiliar to her - if had been in Cercatori long the Capitana's daughter would have known – but the scent of the pack was beginning to settle on the woman's fur and that was enough to assuage any fears she might have. It didn't matter to her much anyway. Erzulie walked with the lwa; nothing could hurt her with them on her side.

The first thing she noticed about the woman was the blank stare – it made no sense to the girl and was really unpleasant. She had never met a blind person, and didn't even know what blind was. After looking at the unfocused eyes for a moment she waved her hand as though that could make the woman focus. “Are ya ok?”
