OOC Awww yeahhhh!

She occasionally left her traveling companion, but it was never for long. She'd spent some time investigating Salsola and a day or two in the city, but she always managed to track Tawny back down afterward. This time had been no different. Wretch had chosen to venture back into Ichika for two reasons - to gather a few more of her belongings from Cerne Rise and to tell her father that she would be spending some time traveling outside of the lands. She was still officially a member there...but her patience was wearing thin with the peaceful pack. One could only get attacked so many times before it would become evident that there was a problem. Nayru knew of her first attack, yet nothing had really been done, to her knowledge. When she had reached Cerne Rise, she had been surprised to find Saul missing. She hadn't been back for a week or two, and her father's scents smelled at least that old. She had not paid attention to the last time she'd come into Ichika...had he been there then? Wretch had tried to track his scent, but had left Ichika without success. He was really gone.

She wasn't sure how this made her feel. At the moment, all she wanted to do was to get back to Tawny and share her news. With Saul gone, there wasn't much else that was tying her to the pack. Gideon had left as well, perhaps with Saul, and she hadn't smelled either Melee or Range around. To her, it would seem as if her entire family had disappeared without a word. She hadn't bothered to try and find Nayru or demand an explanation, simply trying to internalize her emotions instead as she had turned to leave the lands once more. A tear or two had escaped, but that was all that she would cry for them...the canines who would willingly leave her behind without a note or anything and take off for a new life elsewhere. Screw them. The only canine that she could really trust was herself.

A nearby call caught the female's attention, and she gave the breeze a deep sniff. Aha! She was closer than she'd thought! Wretch hurried, quickening her pace to a jog, and lifted her head to give a yappy, hybrid response. Hopefully Tawny had been calling for her and not someone else - she preferred to spend time alone with the other canine if she could, uncomfortable in the presence of most others. Especially those she didn't personally know. Jace and Tawny were two of the few canines that she could hold a conversation with and share things with. They both seemed to have the innate ability to understand, accept, and move on. She came out of the brush toward the tree that the other canine sat beneath, tail flicking back and forth evenly behind her. You calling for me, or you got...someone else in mind?
