It is fine, I'm on winter break too, yay! wc: 442

Itzal noticed Axelle's reluctance to leave the crossbow with everything else. He smiled watching her put the weapon in the bottom of the trunk and pushed it back to hide it. She really cared about the weapon he noticed, but he knew nothing would happen to them. He turned and started walking away, his legs aching from him trying to keep back his need to run and find something to kill. He heard her turn and start to follow him, but it was like fly buzzing around on the edge of his mind. It wasn't worth his attention, the only thing that mattered right now was the kill he needed.

His teeth glistened as he sniffed the air, his mouth slightly agape. He could smell them all. The prey that would cower under him when he unleashed himself. He was ready, the urge to howl and tell them that he was coming was so strong. He wanted to let them know their death was coming, and there was nothing they could do to stop it. It was times like these when Itzal and Eztli were almost completely one and the same. He was just about to give in when that annoying fly brought him back. He wanted to snap at it and make it leave him alone. But when Axelle's paw reached out and flowed over his muscular leg he realized who she was and that they were going to hunt together . He shook himself, looking back at her with a hungry smile. He realized he was looking at her with two different kinds of hunger, and it made a small shiver run down his back.

He was still watching her as she headed in front of him and scented the air. He watched her look at him and when he meant her eyes, he was back ready to hunt. He growled, low and menacing, as he followed her to their prey. He was loping beside her, his ears trained on the prey he was hunting, his nose scenting for any sign of them. This time, Axelle wasn't an annoying fly, but rather another hunter relishing in the hunt with him. Maybe not an equal hunter to Eztli, but still, a respected one. He wondered how long that would last.

He noticed a small herd and twitched his ears in their direction to signal to Axelle if she hadn't already seen them. There were some big males in the herd, and Itzal was busy searching for the biggest one, his paws and jaws could already feel the kill, crushing its skull and taking its life. He would do it, he had too.
