She wasn’t allowed to bash in her moment of solitude for long, but found that she wasn’t terribly aggravated once she realized who the approaching canine was. Fluffy copper audits turned at the sound of approach and she made a silent guess before she turned her face half around to glance at the incoming Hydra with one, blood-red eye. She turned away again just as fast, and the larger man drew up on her side, apparently not intent on granting her a peace of mind. But, that was all right. She didn’t know peace the way others might, and sought distraction rather than dealing with the chaotic thoughts that always insisted on colliding within her noisy brain. She inhaled through narrow nostrils, taking in Helotes’ scent, one that had become familiar to her over the last weeks. He had left her no regrets for taking him on as her student. With the exception for the first sparring session, he seemed controlled and eager to learn, and she adored that in a student.

After a short moment, after watching his slight bow in greeting, she offered him a small smile, adding a touch of warmth to her finely sculpted face. She decided it was a pleasant surprise to have him approach her willingly outside of training hours. Perhaps she hadn’t scared him off entirely as an individual then. Perhaps. She knew she wasn’t exactly approachable in general, and there was more than one member that made an effort to avoid her. Strange that all the fuckers insisted on living in the mansion then, where there was the daily risk of ending up face to face with the infamous Triarii bitch. Oh well, it was their choice to settle down in the old house, not hers. If she had it her way, she’d be living there alone with the children and her pets, along with Cotl and perhaps even this guy. But Halo and Helotes didn’t know each other at all, really. They just got along as far as training went. As an individual, she knew nothing about him.

She couldn’t be bothered picking up the stance she used when they trained together, and remained in her relaxed pose. But her face had turned away from the sea and its salted song to peer at her masculine company. ”What are you doing here?” she asked, though was careful to not let it sound accusatory. There was nothing wrong with taking a stroll along the borders—obviously they were of a similar mind-set today. She made sure to let her honeyed smile linger upon dark lips, to underline her good will. Now when he was here she wanted to make sure that she wouldn’t scare him away with the naturally cruel attitude she normally threw around. Sniffing slightly, she wrapped her hands around her soaked frame, as if the cold finally was getting through her wet, plush fur. Her mother was a wolf of arctic blood, but Halo’s own was shorter and finer, and in return offered less isolation against the cold weather, especially in such sour weather conditions.
