She shot again and missed as was almost certain, beginner's luck only stretched so far after all. Enzo himself had been practicing for two months straight before he managed to hit anything worthy. Juliet had done better than himself in that respect. His gaze was sympathetic for her anger but overall she had been a good student for his teaching, even if a little shaky teaching. A wave of heat traveled up his chest to his cheeks thankfully hid by dusty brown fur. His smile reached all the way to his eyes as he looked down at her warmly, she was something else, something special he could tell. The words he had spoken to his father about not needing anyone especially not a girl came floating back through his mind and he felt a small sting of embarrassment. Jazper would tease him for this if he chose to reveal his intoxication with the girl to his black furred father.

He had never felt this way about a girl before, a female. The most he had felt was that of brotherly affection to his sister. A children's love for his mother and inspired awe of his aunt Savino and the other members of Crimson Dreams. But the boy was too stupid, too inexperienced to recognise it as the seeds of the tree that could become romance and love. For now Juliet was like an aged teddy bear or a trinket found whilst hunting, special in every way for reasons that were unknown.

"Ahh youh'll geet it eventuahly. Eet took meh a loong time afore ah coold heet anythink." It was something for her to feel good about herself for, she had beaten him. The bird that had kept its life by inches fluttered off into the maze of trees and the Knight male watched it go without envy or anger, today was simply not the day it was meant to die. Enzo believed that all creatures had a time when they were alloted to die and that it could not be avoided. There must be some greater reason why some were called into death before others. He was not all curiosity for it though as some might have been, he was content to accept what was and not linger on it.

His bubble of growing happiness though was popped and the feeling of contentment left him when she mentioned the fact that her mother might be worrying after her by now and that she should go check in to make sure things were fine. He could not begrudge her wanting to let her family know she was safe. Despite his own age Jazper still liked to know what his son was off doing at what times. Although he wasn't strict about it, Enzo could come and go as he pleased but he found it often didn't take long to find his dark father and mention where he was going if the journey would take exceptionally long, within the pack's boundaries he could be easily called to his father's side, outside of them it became more difficult. The male quickly retrieved the fallen animal she had caught for her,

"Please, ahllow meh to escort you to yur home. Ah ladee should not beh wahndering aroond on her own." He grinned with a charming smile and held out an arm for her to take, the dead bird gripped in his other hand. The cloak she had taken off lay behind the pair, completely forgotten.
