Terra's fascination with Inferni was pointless, and she knew it. She longed for other coyotes though, and this pack of wolfish hybrids seemed to be the closest she would get. Terra faced the row of skulls along Inferni's border, thinking about when she'd first seen it. The sight of the skulls had convinced her that extremely violent wolves lived there. When she'd come back, taking the skulls and defacing them Terra had discovered that canines calling themselves coyotes lived there. It was unacceptable in her mind, but there was no helping what they called themselves.
An urge to trespass crossed Terra's mind, but even she wasn't stupid enough to do that. The wounds that she'd gained had taught her that they didn't even like strangers sniffing around the borders, let alone trespassing. Wanting to live for another day Terra remained outside, pacing along the edge. Maybe someone would come out that she could taunt. Terra wouldn't howl, calling attention to herself, as she valued stealth. Still, the mark of an unknown coyote traveling the borders should grab someone's attention.
